CROSS BREEDING BRANGUS

At Kimberley Downs we did decades of artificial insemination of our Brangus cows and we often used a different breed of bull as a follow up , so we could easily identify the success of the Brangus bull.

We found the Brangus/Herford cross an outstanding success. The progeny we often grew out as first cross breeders or steers. Either way they were magnificent animals, quiet substantial well fleshed and had excellent growth rate and moderate sized calves. The females went on to be excellent first cross mothers and the steers impressive bullocks.

If you are looking to have a herd of first cross breeders then I would look no further than the Brangus/Herford cross, that is our experience.
